There are virtually no "anchovies" ( anchoas) left to fish. Now the fishermen want the government to help them find alternative jobs to feed their families. Scientist were warning governments about overfishing this species. They were rubbed off by saying that they were exaggerating their case, that the "industry" was strong and there was great revenues for the countries participating. Now they have no idea how long it will take to have the population back to acceptable levels.
