While I've lurked faithfully, I haven't participated as much as I'd have liked to lately. My parents are both well into their 80s, and my Dad's health took an abrupt turn for the worse recently. So I've been dealing with a lot more than usual lately. Half a roll of film from LHSA/San Francisco is still in my M6. I haven't shot any film since then. Until tonight, when I snapped a few of some friends using my "new" Canon Serenar 50/1.8 LTM. I bought this heavy chrome affair a while back, figuring that I'd test Mark Rabiner's maxim that you can never have enough 50mm lenses. And because I wanted to try a Planar-formula RF lens for myself. After a brief sojourn at DAG's to clean out 50 worth years of schmutz, it's clear, sparkling and ready for action. Pictures will follow eventually. Meantime, please send some good thoughts this way for my father Milton, photographed here a year ago with an M6TTL and 50/1.5 Nokton: http://users.2alpha.com/~pklein/family/06Milt.htm --Peter
