PDP-8 used dang modern transistors - useless. The IBM 704 had real 
valves - glowed in the dark, too. 36 bit words - none of these sissy 
8-bit bytes. Valves sound better, film looks better.
In 1962 it was the biggest computer in South Africa. All 8K words of it.
