Hi Alastair,
Congratulations mon ami! Because in the beginning the project sounded like a
monumental task bound to fail. Why? Well it was proposed to an open rabble
of photographers world wide. No offence other members of the rabble. ;-)
"But we done did good!" :-)

It worked due to your "harping, cajoling and insistent nagging" toward the
end of each year to submit pictures that absolutely made it work. But one
underlying thing throughout is the Leica connection we have to the LUG, it's
members and using Leica camera's of various types.

And despite the various digital versions running rough shod through our
ranks, the Leica camera has always been the catalyst to keep pictures
coming. Regardless of digital bodies combined with Leica lenses or Leica
digital cameras, not only have we made it to the picture collecting finally,
we've learned more about photography and body combinations. :-)

You as the chef put the list of ingredients together, we surprisingly found
the bits and pieces. The icing is an exhibition and book, yes that too will
happen simply because of you and those who worked closely in producing the
FOM2 project.

So to you Alastair, your immediate crew and other list members I offer a
great big thank you for getting it this far. The icing will come and the
cake will be a master piece! :-)

Good on you all!
