            Hi Luis

I know and have done business with Leicabeimeister - they are
honest and honorable - fully recommended

Similarly Ffordes in UK - they too are very honest and honorable

Agree that Marco Schouten is expensive - he buys from ebay and
relists

Arsenal in Nuremburg has a good collection - but he is expensive
and not friendly

            Best regards / Joseph Low

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your advice, in Europe I know Leicabeimeister in Germany (no
experience with them), Leicashop in Austria (highly recommended, I've
purchased several things), in UK Robert White (Highly recommended too, I
have purchased there a big part of my equipment) and Ffordes is a good one
too, in USA my last experiences was with B&H (Highly recommended too) and
Adorama (something stuff is very good but they don't have care with what
they announce and what they deliver), in Netherlands I've purchased some
accessories to Schouten (very good quality and service, but expensive), I
have no more address in Netherlands, if you have someone please let me know,
I like looking on line.

Saludos desde Barcelona
Luis

Luis,

Stay away!!!

Especially being on the other side of the ocean, you really want to be
selective about who you do business with in the US. I would stick to the
following vendors:

- Rich Pinto (photovillage.com) and Pat who advertises here on the LUG
every week
- B&H Photo in New York
- KEH in Atlanta

There are a lot of dodgy shops in Brooklyn and elsewhere; what they do
is not outright fraud but comes close.

Also, before buying overseas, always check prices at German or Dutch
online shops--they are lower than in Spain, and you will not have to pay
any customs duty or additional IVA when you receive the items.
