For me there's only ever been one reason for buying Macs - the 
software. Largely the OS, but also the philosophy of the software in 
general. It's amazing how much software written for another OS stands 
out as counter-intuitive when you use it on a Mac. The current 
Microsoft Office suite is a good example.

I have to admit, though, that since Senor Jobs re-appeared the looks 
have improved somewhat too!
