Doug,
With the 350D and the 5D entering the market, you can probably get a 
very good deal on a 20D by now.
Excellent camera! Consider too -you can put Leica-R, Zeiss-Contax (CY) , 
Pentax (and a thousand other brands) M42, and anything with a Canon 
bayonet too, on the front of it.
Get one, and then start raiding the second-hand stores for brilliant 
obsolete lenses.

BTW, it seems to work quite well with Canon EF/EF-S Autofocus lenses 
too. ;-)
