Huh?   A collapsible lens that you should not collapse?

Is this the modern 50 Elmar mounted on a 50 year old camera issue?  ( In
which case I could, to some degree, understand the issue....)

Peter, if you use the 3.5 Elmar on your M3, be sure not to collapse the lens
while it's on the body or you'll mar the matte black paint inside the
camera.  The lens collapses too far into the body on the M3 and hits metal.
Strangely enough, it's fine on a M6.
