I have to admit I've only used the auto mode on one film, as a kind of test, and haven't used it since. I just can't get used to it, and don't trust it to get what I want. It's silly, probably, as others on this list swear by it. I'm just used to doing everything manually, by "feel", and I know it works that way. Having said that, if you can change for 300 bucks, then go for it! The major boon for me was the shutter lock. Why didn't they put one of those on years ago?! Would have saved me a fortune in mis-fired film!
