A good way to evaluate these programs is to sign up for the forums
and see what kinds of problems everybody is having. I ruled out
Fotoware based on some of the comments - not that I would have paid
$600 anyway! I don't see a forum for Photo Mechanic. There are very
active ones for both Portfolio and iView Media Pro. Everybody has
some kinds of problems or complaints but I can usually tell if it's
going to be a minor inconvenience or something that will drive me
crazy. Too bad there's not a perfect DAM program out there!
