First to Dennis, thank you for your suggestion. I took many pictures -
this was the best combination of framing and expression and
background.

To all of you who responded - thank you. It was difficult to post.
It's not that I'm ashamed of my sister. That's hardly the case. Rather
writing about her, and sharing her image, opens the pain my family
experienced around her illness. Seeing her makes all of that vivid in
my  memory the desperate sadness of my mother when she came back from
visiting, her self-inflicted guilt because she didn't recognize the
symptoms earlier. To share her image was to share some of that
feeling.

Some of you have shared some private thoughts with me that touched my
heart greatly. This IS a special place that Brian has created for us
and which our community has made.
