The difference is that technology has not influenced acoustic guitars as 
much as photography.  A Martin or Gibson from the 30's is pretty much the 
same as what you will pick up today.  The same can't be said of photography.

Yes,  yes.  I still regret the day(s) I sold my Martins!  I'm in the  
market even as we speak.  The new Martin D-41 Special has forward  
shifted vintage scalloped braces and a "V" neck.  Very nice, indeed!
