I might play with it some more--these are the kind of adjustments I used to make in the wet darkroom, and so they are also kosher in Photoshop according to my self-imposed rules of digital imaging. The place in question is really frustrating. The motorway on which I drive to work every day traverses this bridge. Sometimes I approach it and the light is great; but to get a decent vantage point where it is also safe to stop I have to take the nearest exit and drive for 3-4 km to the shore of the river. By the time I arrive at the spot, the light may have changed completely. On a couple of occasions I have considered just pulling over in the emergency lane on the motorway and snapping from there... Thanks again for looking and commenting.
