yup, it will do it anyway with a bit of agitation. Nowadays most 
emulsions aren't thick enough to strictly require a stop bath unless 
you're looking for a instant stop.

Check the technical sheet. As rule of thumb if the fixer won't work 
with a hardener isn't acid.
PH in dilutions should be >= 5 to do not be acidic.
