That's another interesting L.A. twist. People aren't always what they appear to be. It's not uncommon to come across someone on the Westside, who's dressed like they just woke up or ran out of clean laundry and the next thing you know they are getting into a brand new Mercedes. You're never quite sure who you are dealing with. The guy with the old jeans and thread worn T-shirt sitting next to you in the cafe, could be a studio executive or producer. So, a large portion of the population is always deeply suspicious or paranoid about who they are dealing with. Over the years I've seen several people stick their foot in their mouth, because they base the amount of courtesy they should dole out on the merit of a persons appearance and perceived social standing. Personally I think it's an idiotic little game. If you simply treat people with the same common courtesy that you expect to be treated with yourself, the whole thing becomes a non-issue. I'm also from NYC and have been out here in La La Land for about 13 years and I still feel like a tourist. ;-) Feli > Robert > ________________________________________________________ feli2@earthlink.net 2 + 2 = 4 www.elanphotos.com no archive
