I take Ken Rockwell's opinions with at least as big a grain of salt as I did Philip Greenspun's [photo.net creator], probably much bigger. Besides I get along with Phil's sense of humor better. :-) At least Phil managed to build a site with great readers'comments, counter-balancing his own views, which comments and posts in the end became the real strength of photo.net. Of course, this is not to say that K.R.'s site is devoid of truth; in fact I remember getting some good information there. Just that the B.S. factor bleeps on my radar, together with the bit of self-promotion. The irony to me is that Bill referred to K.R.'s site in response to one of Henning Wulf's posts. Henning is always very thoughtful with so many great advices born out of years of experience, given without any fanfare. In fact he is so low-keyed, that I am afraid his experience, talent and wisdom is not recognized here. Henning ranks way up there on my list of the LUG's greats, and a gentleman too. Just my opinion. I don't mean this post as any offense to you at all, Bill, and if you feel any slight, let me apologize for it beforehand. Cheers, - Phong "and a gentleman too", by which I mean as a poster on an internet public mailing list. I actually don't know Henning at all.
