Even worse is the pet product called "Forbid" that, when placed in dog
food, gives the dogs' feces a "forbidding taste" (to discourage
coprophagia). Now, who determined that?

A number of years ago I worked for a company that provided warehousing
for what I imagine is the largest producer of pet food in the UK. On one
of my visits I was taken round the facility, which included visiting the
sampling room. And no, it wasn't doggies and moggies doing the sampling
;-)

Eccchhh!

I recall a segment of 60 Minutes (or one of those TV News Magazines)
years ago where they showed Spam tastings at Hormel. They were carried
out much like a wine tasting.

My father got his fill of Spam in WWII so we never had it in the house.
He did eat potted meat product, though, which I thought was much more
disgusting.
