Jack Teagarden one of the greatest jazz trombonist's and non pianist had 
absolute pitch...He would carry a set of piano tuning wrenches with him to 
every job...fully anticipating the condition of any "house" piano.

My "ex" wife, who is a pianist does the same thing...she does not have 
absolute pitch but does have a very good ear...she brings wrenches and a 
tuning meter...
