Management can bypass those procedures and controls at its peril. Management can decide to ship a pallet of bricks instead of floppy disk drives. I have no idea what's going on inside Leica wrt management and engineering but management obviously believes it's not ready to ship. Dennis PS: a fair metric for quality of firmware is the number of additional releases made for bug fixes.
