I'd recommend finding a store that will let you dip some pens and see
how they feel.  That's the most important thing....

Even w/in a brand&model there's all kinds of differences in the way
that the nibs respond.  And you may find that you prefer a pen that's
light, or heavy; thick or thin in your hand.

I'd never buy a fountain pen mail order unless *I* was willing to
adapt to *it* (e.g. a 1940's parker vacumatic...).

I've bought vintage stuff from David Nishimura at
http://www.vintagepens.com, he's very honest and reliable.  His site
out to appeal to the LUG audience.  I love the Vacumatics, and the
Parker 51's....
