These days we lean to a single blossom with the mass in the background just enough out of focus that you can see what it is. The vast mass just doesn't say very much, just sort of mumbles, "we're really yellow". This year and last I was trying to use a very wide angle very close to mixed results. I think probably a little less extension and a slightly wider lens; probably the 24 ASPH and a M to R adapter.
