This is definitely a newbie question - what res/dpi do you scan your 35mm
negs for maximum effectiveness?
File size is not an issue.

I cropped, and in some pictures added brightness in the foreground and a
little
saturation to the back-ground. I had a difficult time trying to find the
right
compromise between sharpness and grain. Most of the beach shots are done on
400 Elite-Chrome, and turned out rather grainy. I am still fighting with my
new
flatbed scanner in terms of grain :-(

Californian winter is a great photo season ...
