May I venture to say that selling cameras is not part of their brand image either? (writes he , with a wry sad smile). Leica needs to think a LOT about their current image and , as ever, some managers nearly always manages to open his mouth and immediately put his foot in it. Tradition may be a good thing but it seldom pays for your next meal. It seems that Leica's tradition of missing the boat carries on regardless, compounded by the fact that they were always too proud to ask how to get to the harbour. To be quite honest, the way Leica is run is depressing, they have a level of quality which can hardly be beaten and a sales/development/PR department which should be.
