The various numbers refer to the ability to auto zoom or not, whether there is a smaller flash to provide fill while the main head is rotated to bounce. These aren't really suitable for the newer digital SLR's as the 300-3000 spec just doesn't provide the right communication to do that. If you are in a fairly static situation, of course you can use them on any digital SLR by using the histogram on a test shot and adjusting the flash compensation to balance the light. Of course, this won't work in a very fluid changing situation. For small quantities of money, craigcamera.com, can sell you the appropriate instruction manual. I have found them to be quite good and pretty cheap as you can change modules and use them on most of your cameras. Any info on the older Metz flashes? Particularly the Mecablitz 32 series. There seem to have been many versions CT 3 - 7? The Metz web site doesn't refer to these discontinued models at all. thanks, Eric _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
