I'm very glad Adam got his Canon EOS 1Ds mk. II otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought an R8 for a while. Aside from the basic ergonomic design and the excellent viewfinder (must-haves for me) the features that I like best are the motor, the mirror pre-release and the manual-mode viewfinder readout. > Is this bird very shy or uncommon? No. It's common in California's central valley in the right habitat. It's difficult to photograph well because it's active and it likes forested areas where there's no light. It's one of several species that are unique to the central valley and rarely found anywhere else. Doug Herr Birdman of Sacramento http://www.wildlightphoto.com
