Almy Annapolis" "high-carat" is a literal translation of the German "hochkaraetig" which connotes something akin to "very high quality." This is not the first time that I have seen inappropriate transliterations in Leica's publications. They are apparently not vetted by anyone in the US or the UK. Oliver
