Peter - Your posting encourages me to keep going with my own project 
to organize and scan in all my old negatives (as contact sheets) and 
slides (as full resolution scans).  It's a dog of a job, but the 
recovery or memories and making the photos available for sharing 
makes it well worth the effort.  Mine go back to about 1950.

Like you, I have many from an aunt and uncle who were the primary 
family photographers.  Coincidentally, they also used a Bolsey B-2 
and Kodachrome and the slides look brand new except for the old-style 
mounts.
