i think i'm going to go shoot at a local golden gloves tournament
saturday. does anyone have any suggestions on technique and/or cetera?
i'm not even sure what focal length i need to think of. i think i'll
be able to get up next to the ring to shoot through the ropes. that's
about all i know.

1. Incident meter the ring, set the aperture and don't mess with it.
2. Listen to the crowd. They'll tell you when to start shooting.
3. Shoot some of the crowd too
4. Some of the most dramatic shots are in between rounds of the fighters.
5. wide angle lenses are not as useful as longer focal length, unless you
are right at their feet.
6. Can you get into the locker rooms before the fight?
