Like they say, it is not the heat, it is the humidity. Anyway, I haven't run into any problems with my M6TTL other than having to wipe the condensation off the viewfinder when I leave an air-conditioned building and move outside to shoot. Though we're not at the equator during the rainy season, I think the same Leica practicality would present itself in such a situation. Speaking of humid - hope to see ya'll down in the Big Easy this weekend at the LHSA spring shoot. I, for one, am looking forward to it!
