Subject: [Leica] Should Leica sell direct to customers?

Boutique products aren't that amenable to internet sales????

A good friend with this website
www.pastpaper.com
makes a very comfortable living selling Colliers, Life and other out of date
magazines on the web. This business was not sustainable before the
internet. He tried flea markets, ads in collector magazines, and a shop.
There was no way to attract enough customers to make it work.

Or, try finding Efke at your local camera shop:
www.jandcphotography.com
A wonderful, obsolete film that produces a unique look.

Seems like the web is the perfect spot for boutique items that would
otherwise be economically untenable.
