Subject: [Leica] Shutterbug & Zeiss Ikon and R-D1

The latest "we like everything we test" Shutterbug arrives today with
reports on the history of the new Zeiss Ikon and a test of the R-D1. One
interesting factoid about the ZI is that apparently Zeiss original proposed
design of the face (the front) has no hard edges: the edges were round, as
were the apron. After 8 months, Cosina finally won the argument with the
current look. Another factoid is that "almost no parts of the Bessa-series
camera" is used.

To me, the big question is how quiet is the shutter. The R-D1 cluck-ching
drives me nuts :-)
