It looks pretty different now. Most of the neon is gone and the area's gotten a bit trendy, with boutiques, cafes, etc. But there are still enough cheap motels and bars left to provide a glimpse of the Rte. 66 glory days. I believe the Haas image was shot in the 70s but I'm not sure. I've seen it displayed in a Santa Fe gallery.
