To recap, M7, develop using a Jobo with 5 min pre-rinse but otherwise recommended development time. Lauder Chemical D76 clone, stock solution. Timing gotten from www.digitaltruth.com. Then I scan the film in using Nikon LS-4000 as BW neg with 14 bits-depth. ICE off. Here's a sample from Tr-X TX-400. Not great art, but decent tonal range: http://www.dragonsgate.net/pub/richard/tmp/img033.jpg Here's a sample from HP5+: http://www.dragonsgate.net/pub/richard/tmp/IMG022.jpg The whole roll taken at different times of the day and different places is all like this: the exposure seems to be off or something and the highlights are gone. I don't have an enlarger. From the lightbox and using a loupe, the drum head for example does look fairly dark, but I am not sure if it should translate into this much white. So may be there is something wrong with the scanner all of a sudden? Unfortunately, too many variables - M7 light meter can be off. D76 may be bad for HP5+. Jobo rotary processing is possibly a culprit. Scanner.... Arggghhh... Oh well. I guess I will try another roll... I have the Tri X in the camera now. I will shoot that today and see (pushed to ASA800 using Xtol) // richard (This email is for mailing lists. To reach me directly, please use richard at imagecraft.com)
