The reason is I had not been using the Leicas, and I prefer to avoid posting non-Leica pictures. Over the last couple of months I have been shooting with the M3 again, and I am happy to post at least a picture for every week this year. I will end up falling behind, but for the time being I am up to date. The first two are from a visit to the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington DC. I had wanted to try the CV 12mm. My conclusion is that it is way too wide for me and not sharp enough (does anyone want to buy it?) but I have 2 images that I present for week 1: http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_01 http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_01alt The film was Neopan 1600, developed in Ilfotech DD-X (which has lasted for months as concentrate) In February I had to travel to my native Madrid. For week 2 (yes, I know I am cheating) I offer 2 renditions of a statue by Salvador Dal? which is in downtown Madrid. I think I like the "alt" best, but the first is needed to show the statue. The lens was the 35mm Summaron, the film Ilford FP4+. http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_02 http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_02alt PAW_2005_03 and PAW 2005_03alt are similar compositions in B&W with the Summaron. PAW_2005_04 (http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_04)and PAW 2005_05 (http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_05) are pictures taken on the street which are obviously NOT street photography (I don't think) but I like enough to submit for criticism. I had to stay in Madrid for a couple of weeks and I wanted to see my pictures, so I decided to try color film (I had never done that with the M3). Not surprisingly, given the latitude of color film, the exposures were acceptable. One of them (http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_07) was taken with the CV 50mm Nokton The next two http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_08 http://gallery.leica-users.org/JGB-Leica-PAW-Project/PAW_2005_08alt are variations on the theme of shadows on walls. The latest, PAW_09 is something everybody has done before (the reflection or the shadow of the photographer), but this time I liked the result. Comments and suggestions would be welcome. Many thanks. Juan
