Dear Adam,

I'm glad you liked it.  I tend to be very conservative about cropping or
removing objects from my pictures, but you have a point.  Others on this
list have wished for colour, but I am convinced that black and white wins
hands down.

although I think the light at the left edge of the image should go - my eyes
keep going there when the focus belongs elsewhere. It makes wonderful use of
all that is black and white.
