The sport optics are terrific and I think those will continue to be made somehow someway. I would not be surprised to see some relationship between Voigtlander/Cosina come out of this......with a falling dollar and just not enough deep pockets / people willing to acquire an outdated technology coupled with the digital onslaught, I'm not surprised....just very saddened. When I bought my M6TTL / 50mm Summilux back in 2000, I had saved for two years and can remember the day like it was yesterday....I was (and still am) terribly excited to be a Leica owner. Now, I use the M6 sometimes and a D70 sometimes. My next photo purchase will probably be a 70-200 2.8 Nikon VR lens or perhaps a 300mm F4.
