Well, as uni is one of my very favourite you better get be up for it
next time we see each other!

Actually, I think my predilection for these thing goes back to a
photo related incident. In the 70's I was taking a scuba course, and
for one of our ocean dives we went up Howe Sound, which has amazing
underwater life. I'd done my dive, and had climbed up onto the roof
of the top cabin of the boat. Painted plywood. Another fellow had
been collecting sea urchins for a while, and had left a gunny sack
full of them on top of the cabin where I was. I was taking pictures,
when a swell came and heaved the boat. What with the water and the
painted plywood, I slipped and had a quick choice to make. Go into
the water with my camera, or step on the gunny sack for traction and
'save' myself. I chose the latter, and I'm still not sure I did the
right thing.

I spent the next hour on the boat, and the next day at home picking
spines out of my foot. A number broke off inside my foot and got
infected.

I've enjoyed eating them ever since.
