Didier,

I have a Canon 20D and sold my R8 last year knowing that a digital back
was coming, so I have made my choice. But in all fairness, the R8 has
more pluses than just the additional megapixels. I would add:

+ a much better viewfinder
+ ability to use Leica lenses without adapters (I also assume that focal
length and aperture will be recorded on the EXIF, which obviously does
not happen when I use a Leica lens on my Canon)
+ a larger sensor (1.37 vs. 1.6 crop factor)
+ a more solidly built camera body

On the other hand, there is also a minus, at least based on my limited
experience playing with an R8+DMR at Photokina: becase the DMR is quite
thick, it was difficult to get my eye close to the viewfinder without
mashing my nose and mouth against the DMR.

Under 20D, you listed "startup delay"--do you mean it has one or not? I
find that mine has no delay, one of the things I really like about it.
