Hi Dave,

Ghester Sartorius published a list of all Leica lens serial numbers by year 
of manufacture, (with some caveats), in his book "Identifying Leica Lenses". 
 
It lists the starting S/n and ending S/N for each year of manufacture from 
1933 
thru 1995.
