Well every Timex, Seiko, and several other brands I have tried, have corroded cases after about 2 to 3 years, Timex after 1 year, but my Rolex still looks like new after 18 years and keeps pretty good time for my needs. I get the gel ink Pilots free at work, but they write nowhere nearly as smooth and fluidly as my Mont Blanc roller ball and fountain pens, so I use them only when I wear a shirt with no pocket to carry the Mont Blancs - not very often.
