I am never sure about stories like this.  Someone hears something really
stupid that Leica is going to do ( not sell spare parts to independent
repair shops, cancel a camera that is selling pretty well, who knows what I
have forgotten).  Then someone in the LUG sends an email to the President of
Leica in Germany.  Suddenly there is a correction of the "erroneous" data,
as the Boss gets into the act and sets the record straight as to the
"incorrect" data..

I get the feeling that the Boss really does not know what is happening as
his managers make stupendous blunders, then HE has to fix the situation.
Time to fire some managers, me thinks.

I just do not know.......
