From what I could find, the Nikon is really your only option. I have
bought the 5000ED and the SF-210, and I've begun to report on its batch
scanning capacity. You do need a huge HD space to do this and I mean
huge, but given a fast computer and large HD, I've found I can scan up
to 30 to 40 slides in a batch without problem: Kodachromes are another
issue.

Lets hear what others say, but I'm happy to offer more on the Nikon and
my experience with different slides if you wish

Cheers
