As long as my M4P shoots well, I haven't a lot of interest in tearing it
apart
and striped to the base metal just to have it customised. It's got all of
its
covering in tact and only one nice big dent in the top plate (from the
original
pj owner whom I bought it from.) Has gathered a nice chromed 'brassing'
around
the edges since it was made in 1982/3. (Leica calls it an M4-2, but the
original papers and box with it say its an M4P) It feels nice in the hand
and
makes that wonderful 'snik' when shooting regardless.

IF we are dreaming though...I think an M would look cool with the same
rainbow
type finish that Damascus Steel exhibits. Especially so with a nice Black
Kid
(goat) skin covering from CameraLeather.com. Probably cost more than a new
custom M though.
