It's got all of its covering in tact and only one nice big dent in the top plate (from the original pj owner whom I bought it from.) Has gathered a nice chromed 'brassing' around the edges since it was made in 1982/3. (Leica calls it an M4-2, but the original papers and box with it say its an M4P) It feels nice in the hand and makes that wonderful 'snik' when shooting regardless. IF we are dreaming though...I think an M would look cool with the same rainbow type finish that Damascus Steel exhibits. Especially so with a nice Black Kid (goat) skin covering from CameraLeather.com. Probably cost more than a new custom M though.
