It is a fair comment to say that you prefer these B&W shots to my Canon work. We all like different things. I do, however, disagree regarding comments. I have never bought the idea that "a picture is worth 1000 words." If you look at the way pictures are used--in magazines, books, etc.--most of the time they are integrated into the text and the images and the words reinforce each other. I think this is especially true with travel photography, like the two Poland galleries I posted last week--with the genre, I feel that descriptions are needed to put the images in context. Even when I post a simple portrait, I still like to say who this person is, what does s/he mean to me etc., and I like to see that information as well with other people's pictures.
