And I had a few great shots of him off-stage in Newport - in one I particularly remember he was in a pea coat, in the center of a small group of people. But, alas, the negs and contacts are long gone, and all that's left of 40 rolls of tri-x are photo 'fish stories.' :-) -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Buzz Hausner Sent: Wednesday, January 12, 2005 5:45 PM To: 'Leica Users Group' Subject: RE: [Leica] 1964 Newport folk festival Actually, if memory serves me correctly (which it very well may not in this case) Dylan did perform at the '64 Newport Folk Festival. Also Pete Seeger, Joan Baez in a duet with Dylan, Doc and Merle Watson, Phil Ochs, Mississippi John Hurt, Ramblin' Jack Elliott...and a whole lot of other immortals and flashes in the pan. It was quite a photo op. No Beatles - but virtually everyone else on the folk scene at the time. _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
