When viewing the array of Zeiss lenses in New York a few months back, those two stood out from the rest because of their size. The 15/2.8 sure is "a big bowl of soup," as one observer commented, due to its sheer bulk. And the 85/2 towered over the rest as the tallest - of course, to be expected of a telephoto lens. Richard said that he would consider it if it were "significantly smaller than the 90/2.8AA." Given that, this is not the lens for him. The 85/2 is longer & heavier than the 90/2AA and takes a bigger filter.
