Subject: [Leica] bare bulb flashes?

I'm thinking of getting a bare bulb flash.  Something like the Sunpak 120J
or Sunpak 622.  I'd like to be able to add a little fill flash from time to
time.  In my mind, bare bulb could be less objectionable than regular
flashes in terms of quality of light.  I'd appreciate any advice.  :)
