Subject: [Leica] Philip Borges at the Bowers Museum, California

Interesting point of view, Robert.

We used to do 20 to 30 weddings per year and our customers loved the hand
tinted pictures. My wife attended a PPA seminar where she learned that and
used to spent many hours for selected hand tinting (mostly flowers of the
bride, etc.).

Having said that, my wife doesn't like the pictures of Philip Borges, she
feels they look "too much done by computers". I do like them.

I find the use of the color image of the face and hands against the
B&W background artificial and gimmicky. If these images were all B&W they
would be very powerful, but the color gimmick undermines their authenticity
and turns them into a cheap trick.
