Bob - I certainly agree with you about Brian's role. But your other two 
points relate directly to digitial - Leica hasn't come out with a digital M, 
so people are deserting Leica; and the lack of a revolution in 
film/processing - which was never going to happen anyway ;-) - means that 
nothing has slowed the march of digital.

BD,

I don't think digital is the only reason. I think the reason is twofold: 
Leica hasn't come out with a digital M; and Kodak and Fuji haven't marketed 
some 
revolutionary film and printing system. The irony is that both Leica Solms 
and 
Nikon have some great film cameras on the market which folks are overlooking 
in their search for greener grass. Pun intended.

I think Brian has been very liberal in not estranging anyone.
