Last year, the then juniors at my daughter's school put up a modest Christmas tree in the hallway. It made a nice place to leave anonymous gifts to friends and was a good place to meet before class. This year, the junior class put up a few decorations and a table with treats to tide over sugar deprived students during finals week. The offending table is here: http://gallery.leica-users.org/Dons-PAW-51/christmasjollyjuniors While a bit over decorated, the junior's efforts were generally tasteful: http://gallery.leica-users.org/Dons-PAW-51/christmaswaterfountain Some, in the now Senior class thought that was a bit too much and so began the decorations race: http://gallery.leica-users.org/Dons-PAW-51/christmassrhallwayfromoffic We were given snow on the floor, balloons from the ceiling, lights hanging off the art work: http://gallery.leica-users.org/Dons-PAW-51/christmasseniorentrance A Christmas tree to decorate: http://gallery.leica-users.org/Dons-PAW-51/christmsassrhallwaytree And last, mistletoe was hung. I have to say that the mistletoe did not get much use as the finals were most taxing: http://gallery.leica-users.org/Dons-PAW-51/christmasseniorentrancelook What pictures can't show was the boom boxes blaring competing Christmas Carols of various vintages or the bemused expressions by faculty and staff. All images shot on NHG with an M3 and a 21 SA probably at F8 and thirty seconds. The enterprising students had turned off most of the ceiling lighting so illumination was by distant doorway and blinky lights. Comments always welcome: Don dorysrus@mindspring.com
